Put yourself in those shoes. What do you do? Old enough to understand that things aren’t quite as they should be, but not old enough to be able to do anything about it, or even worse, be taken seriously by those around you. Imagine a world where you discover those you trusted with your life have been letting you down, perhaps even taking advantage of you. Imagine being scared, isolated and alone, with nowhere to go, no one to talk to, and absolutely nothing you can do. Well, that imaginary world is very much a reality for millions of young people around the globe.

And how do we know all this? Because we’ve lived it. We’ve been in that world. Believe it or not, we’re the lucky ones who managed to get out. And when we did, we vowed to help as many young people in similar situations because nobody deserves to experience the awful things that happen all too often in this world. Whether it’s religious, physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect, or confusion with gender identity, we’re here to have the difficult conversations that no one else is prepared to have to support those who need it.
